A bit about Nicole…

Nicole is a sophomore at Tufts University. She has an interest in Human Rights, Law, International Relations, Politics, and the Humanities.

She uses art as a form of expression and a means of reflecting upon the social, cultural, and environmental issues important to her.  She enjoys experimenting with different mediums and styles to emphasize her concept and message and to provoke thought and dialogue.  She is currently a member of Future Histories, an art and literary magazine, and Women in International Relations at Tufts. She also is a three-time medalist for the CT Scholastic Art Award in 2018, 2019, and 2021; a juried exhibitor for Bruce Museum, Shoreline Arts Alliance 2020 Future Voices Exhibition, and National Junior Art Honor Society; a featured artist and interviewee in the Phi Delta Kappa's (PDK) education journal; a member of the National Art Honor Society in 2019, 2020, 2021; and the recipient of the Thomas P. Blagden ‘29 Award for artistic excellence at The Hotchkiss School in 2021. Additionally, Nicole served as the Head of the Editorial Board and Co-Director of Art for ink. magazine, an art and literary publication at Hotchkiss, the Editor-in-Chief of Mischianza, the Hotchkiss School yearbook,  Head of the Hotchkiss Art Club, Head of the Hotchkiss student chapter of UNICEF,  and a member of the Woodblock Press, an interscholastic publication of art and literary works that serves to unite and empower Pan-Asian students around the world.  In addition, Nicole is a classically trained violinist of twelve years, and a former member of The Hotchkiss Orchestra, as well as an avid member of the Hotchkiss Varsity Sailing team.
